Gatlinburg, Tennessee may very well be the pancake capital of the world. It seems that everywhere you turn in Gatlinburg, you find a new pancake restaurant, not that we’re complaining! Here at Visit My Smokies we love pancakes, and we think that the fierce flapjack competition in Gatlinburg has produced some of the best hotcakes in the country. If you’re looking for the perfect breakfast destination, be sure to check out these 4 Gatlinburg pancake restaurants worth getting out of bed for:

1. Pancake Pantry

As the oldest pancake house in the state of Tennessee, the Pancake Pantry has had a long time to perfect its recipes. Located in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, this favorite among Gatlinburg pancake restaurants still uses fresh whipped cream, real butter, and the very best ingredients. The result? A stack of flapjacks that is guaranteed to make your mouth water. Offering dozens of different types of pancakes, Pancake Pantry has something for everyone. Of course, you can’t go wrong with their Old Fashioned Buttermilk Pancakes, but we suggest branching out to try a pancake you’re unlikely to find anywhere else, such as the Sugar 'N Spice Pancakes (made with cinnamon and sweet spices), Sweet Potato Pancakes, or their Austrian Apple-Walnut Crepes.
