About the Pigeon Forge Trolley
The Pigeon Forge trolley system is the third-largest rural transit system in the United States. The system was established to bring mass transit to the city and help keep the Smoky Mountain air clean for both visitors and locals. Not only is it better for the environment, but it’s one of the best ways to see the sights throughout the town! All of the Pigeon Forge trolleys are lift-equipped for wheelchairs and other mobility aids and can be accessed at any trolley stop. To board the trolley, all you have to do is wait at a trolley bear sign or a trolley shelter, and the trolley will be there to pick you up shortly! It’s the best way to tour the town, and helps you save money on parking and gas.
Pigeon Forge Trolley Ticket Prices
Tickets for the Pigeon Forge Trolley are offered for a great price. You can purchase tickets at the Pigeon Forge Trolley Office in the Old Mill District, or pay your fare when you board the trolley. Keep in mind that trolley drivers only accept exact change. One of the best deals is the All Day Trolley Pass that you can purchase at the trolley office. For just $3, you can ride the trolley as much as you want during the day! Pigeon Forge residents and those who work in the city can purchase a year-round pass for $35 per person. Pigeon Forge Trolley Routes
During peak season, the Pigeon Forge Trolley has 6 different routes. All routes start and end at the Mass Transit Trolley Station, which is located next to Patriot Park in the Old Mill District. Just turn at traffic light #7 and look for the parking lot with all the trolleys in it! Parking at the trolley station is free. The North and South Parkway trolley routes run every 20 to 25 minutes, and the Wears Valley trolleys run hour. Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country’s trolleys run every 15 to 20 minutes, and the Gatlinburg Welcome Center trolleys run every 25-30 minutes. Times may vary depending on traffic flow. Routes are listed below:
North Parkway: Heads north from Patriot Park through Pigeon Forge and into part of Sevierville. Turns around after stopping at Governor's Crossing and Wal-Mart areas.
South Parkway: Travels east to Teaster Lane, north to Jake Thomas Road, and stops at LeConte Event Center. Continues south on Parkway and turns onto Pine Mountain Road to Mainstay Suites. Continues south on Parkway, serving area campgrounds and Dolly Parton's Stampede.
Gatlinburg Welcome Center: Nonstop to and from the Gatlinburg Welcome Center.
Dollywood: Nonstop to and from Dollywood, starting 30 minutes before the park opens and returning to Patriot Park until transporting all trolley guests.
Dollywood’s Splash Country: Runs continuously between Patriot Park and Dollywood's Splash Country. (NOTE: Only in service when Dollywood's Splash Country is in season.)
Wears Valley: Heads north to Teaster Lane, passing Pigeon River Crossing and Riverview Mall area to traffic light #2. Continues to Community Center Drive and Sand Pike Boulevard before servicing Wears Valley Road.
Routes run daily with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. The service runs from 8 a.m. to midnight March through the first week of January and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. January through the first week of March.
