Getting to the Smokies
Sevier County, TN
Following Hurricane Helene’s impact on neighboring regions, we want to reassure the public that Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville are fully open for visitors. Our businesses, attractions, and accommodations remain operational and ready to provide the same unforgettable experiences that visitors expect from Sevier County.

While some of our neighboring communities have been more directly affected by the storm, Sevier County remains safe and vibrant, with no interruptions to tourism. We encourage visitors to plan their trips with confidence, knowing that we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.
At the same time, our hearts go out to the communities impacted by Hurricane Helene, and we are committed to supporting their recovery efforts. We encourage everyone to join us in offering support to those in need, whether through contributions to relief efforts or other forms of assistance.
Additionally, the National Park Service is working diligently to restore access to certain areas in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Most park roads are open with a few exceptions, including Foothills Parkway East, roads in Cataloochee Valley, roads in the Balsam Mountain area, and Parsons Branch Road. Visitors can rest assured that access to Sevier County’s businesses, attractions, and accommodations remains unaffected, and they can continue to enjoy all that our region has to offer.
We remain committed not only to welcoming visitors but also to standing in solidarity with our neighboring communities as they recover from the storm. Together, we are stronger, and we look forward to continuing to share the beauty of Sevier County with everyone.
